The Brief
The Sharjah-based foundation, FUNN, is an initiative dedicated to promoting media arts for and among children and youth across the UAE. TOG were tasked with creating an event dedicated to the art of Special Effects in Cinema and Television. The event had to be educational but entertaining for those who attended.

The Solution
A first of it’s kind event, providing attendees a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes in blockbuster movies. The concept was built around the idea of having the visitors walk through a massive movie studio with multiple experiential film sets built and scattered around. Each set was carefully crafted by cinema professionals to teach the visitors about special effects makeup, the use of props and wild animals, how to simulate different seasons and weather conditions, lighting techniques and camera tricks in cinematography.
TOG flew 20 cinema and special effects experts all the way from Egypt to create a masterpiece of experience for all visitors.
The result? 2,000 visitors attended the event at Sharjah Expo across two days with features across multiple media outlets across the UAE.
